Ecurie de Beauclerc

Between September 13 and 15, 2024, Ecurie de Beauclerc, Scott Smith Jump and Haras des Forets have together sponsored, organized, and hosted the first edition of “Saint Lo Excellence”. This is a series of show jumping events that focused on young horses: 6 years and 7 years old, as well as a Grand Prix that was scheduled on the final day. The philosophy of such an event is straightforward: to host an event in Saint Lo, in the heart of the horse breeding region of France, that would focus on young horses which are the stars of the future. Saint Lo being the quintessential area for breeders, riders of young horses, and some of the best training stables and horse merchants in France, is destined to be the stage for the best couples of show jumping -both horses and riders- and to attract an audience made up of professionals, traders, breeders, stable owners, avid amateurs and the general public.

The first edition of “Saint Low Excellence” …Land of the Champions” was a stunning success in terms of participants, of judges and jury, of course designer, of volunteers, of sponsors (all from the private sector), of press coverage, of organization, and results. The competition has even overshadowed some other more established events for young horses in France, which is a stunning and unexpected outcome.

The three organizers of this show jumping events are even more committed to an even more enhanced second edition next year -dates to be confirmed- to maintain the sporting level, the warm ambiance and vibrant feel of the show, and to increase services and benefits to riders, grooms, breeders, and other participants in this event. Our dedication and commitment to excellence has proven to be a credible promise and we intend, all of us, to fulfill such moral and sporting obligations for a public that has welcomed this initiative and is clamoring for more.
